The competition for the most adorable class continues to be neck and neck between the Beginners and Pre-K classes this year at Carolina Camp Meeting. Judges say that declaring a winner will have to be postponed yet another year. Fortunately, both classes are having a great time learning about God’s love and the life He has in store for them, so the competition has taken a back seat.

The Beginners class is especially fortunate that the angel Gabriel and his fellow angels were able to teach about Heaven at camp meeting this year. This week, children are being introduced to the magnificent vision of their true home—a place the Lord has lovingly prepared just for them. As they explore the joys of Heaven, the kids are learning about God’s endless love and the assurance of a future filled with hope and joy. To bring this theme to life, the classroom is decorated like a grand throne room. This unique atmosphere makes learning both fun and spiritually enriching, giving children a memorable first encounter with the divine promise.

For the Pre-K learners, the theme centers on the book of Daniel, with a creative twist. Because the prophet Daniel is away on the king’s business, King Nebuchadnezzar—affectionately known as Nebi, since Nebuchadnezzar is just too hard to say—has been sharing his testimony. Each day, Nebi opens the doors of his palace to share stories of the Lord’s work in his life. From recounting his days as the strongest king on earth to detailing his experience living as a madman, Nebi offers a series of lessons for the kids that he himself had to learn.

Whether through arts and crafts or engaging stories, both classes exemplify interactive learning. If you or a friend have a child between the ages of 0 and 4, you are invited to join the fun in the Children’s Building during the morning and afternoon activities. It is never too soon to learn about the love of Jesus.
