The Earliteens have had a full and memorable week during their “Rooted in Christ” program, centered around the themes of Psalm 1. Pastor Joe Frescino, currently serving as chaplain at Mt. Pisgah Academy, has been leading the group through practical and relevant topics such as dealing with temptation, choosing positive influences, and understanding the contrast between the righteous and the wicked. His messages have encouraged these pre-teens to think deeply about the direction of their lives and the importance of building a strong spiritual foundation.

Small groups led by students and staff from Mt. Pisgah Academy have given the teens opportunities to talk openly, ask honest questions, and form meaningful friendships in a supportive Christian environment. Many of the Earliteens have shared how much they appreciate having older mentors who are willing to listen and encourage them throughout the week.

One new feature this year has been a journaling initiative that has quickly become a favorite among the group. Each teen received a personal journal to record Bible verses, meaningful quotes, sermon notes, prayers, and even letters to God. Several participants have already described the experience as “impactful and helpful,” saying it has given them a quiet and personal way to process what they are learning spiritually.

Of course, the week has not been all quiet reflection. The Earliteens have also enjoyed plenty of exciting activities, including pool time, an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt across campus, tubing at Deep Creek, sports competitions, popsicles, and a giant “junk war” challenge complete with pizza and lots of laughter.

If you haven’t joined yet, this is a great time to jump in. Whether you are looking for friends, fun activities, spiritual encouragement, or simply a place where you can belong, the Earliteens program has something for you. Come be part of it...you just might find exactly what you’ve been needing.
