This week, Pastor Brad Cauley, currently serving as Executive Secretary for the Northern New England Conference, has been equipping believers with tools to defend their faith through an informative Apologetics Seminar at the Lambuth Inn auditorium. In a culture increasingly skeptical of absolute truth, Pastor Cauley brought clarity to common objections to the creation account, the resurrection of Jesus, and the role of the church.
In his presentation titled “Origins Question: Chance or Creator?”, Pastor Cauley walked attendees through evidence pointing to intelligent design. He emphasized the mathematical impossibility of life arising by chance, exposing the philosophical assumptions behind abiogenesis and evolution. Using Revelation 14:6–7, he connected our faith in creation with the eternal gospel and the call to worship the Creator.
In his presentation “Is Jesus Really Alive?”, he built a strong case for the resurrection of Christ by highlighting the historical reliability of the New Testament, referencing ancient eyewitness accounts, and reminding listeners that the apostles, many of whom were once fearful, willingly faced persecution and death for the risen Christ.
In his final presentation, “Other Distinctive Evidence for God’s Existence”, Pastor Cauley pointed to the health and lifestyle benefits of living according to biblical principles, including Sabbath rest, stewardship, and the Adventist health message. He shared data showing significantly improved outcomes among those who follow these practices and actively participate in a church community. He also uplifted the writings of Ellen White as a God-given resource that strengthens both spiritual life and church growth.
Throughout each session, Pastor Cauley helped strengthen the faith of attendees and equipped them to share the truth with seekers in a loving manner. His apologetic approach went beyond rational arguments—it was an invitation to a relationship with a personal God who created them, redeemed them, and is calling them to share His plan of salvation with others.
