This week, the Earliteen class, hosted on the third floor of the Terrace Hotel Auditorium, offered an exciting experience for youth ages 13 to 14. Led by Pastor Tim Cove and his team of pastors and volunteers, the program combined fun, friendship, and deep spiritual insights.
So far this week, teens have enjoyed a tubing adventure, worship time, small group discussions, and moments to relax with friends while reflecting on God’s plan for their lives. Each day, they are studying the theme of Romans 8, memorizing verses and sharing personal insights.
The Wednesday night program began with an instructive message from Pastor Nick on the reliability of the Bible, highlighting the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the ancient manuscripts dating back to 200 BC. The scrolls, preserved in jars, confirm that despite centuries of copying, Scripture remains unchanged. The small 5% variation between those ancient scrolls and our Bible today involves only misspellings or minor scribal errors, leaving all core doctrines intact. Pastor Nick supported this point with 1 Peter 1:24-25, emphasizing the enduring nature of God’s Word.

After that, Natalie led the “Pick a Corner” mixer game, where the teens chose one of four corners of the room to hide in. Pastor Josias then closed his eyes, turned around several times, and pointed in a direction. Anyone in the pointed-to corner was eliminated. The winner was the last teen remaining.
Following the game, older teens from Mount Pisgah Academy joined some Earliteens to lead vibrant worship songs featuring guitar, violin, cajón, ukulele, and keyboard. They played and sang “Holy Forever,” “How Great Is Our God,” and the theme song, “Back to Life.”
Pastor Tim closed the day with an engaging message from Romans 8:16-18, sharing a personal testimony of answered prayer. He reminded the teens of the spiritual reality of adoption: we either belong to this world, or we are God’s children through Christ. Citing John 16:33, he encouraged them to expect trials but to trust in Jesus, who overcame the world.
The week will culminate with Covenant Night on Friday—a special time for teens to commit their hearts to Jesus. Keep them all in your prayers.
