If you happen to mosey into Stuart Auditorium around two in the afternoon in search of a little peace and quiet, don’t be surprised if you hear a faint tune drifting from behind the stage. While it might sound like angels praising the Lord, it’s more likely the Carolina Camp Meeting Choir of 2025, hard at work rehearsing for their special performance this Sabbath. These earthly messengers are preparing several beautiful arrangements, including “On Christ the Solid Rock,” “No More Night,” and “How Can I Keep From Singing.” Each song carries a powerful message of steadfast faith and enduring hope in Jesus.
Choir Director Kathy Russell has extended a warm invitation to anyone in the community interested in joining the choir. If you can carry a tune, this choir is for you! Whether you’re an experienced vocalist or brand new to choral singing, there’s a place for you in this joyful gathering of voices.
One particularly young participant is just in her first year of life, but already knows how to laugh on cue! (And knowing when to come in is half the battle in music.) If she can take a chance and try something new, you can too. After all, every believer will one day be part of God’s heavenly choir, so now’s a great time to get some early practice.
If you’d like to learn more or are curious about joining, stop by Stuart Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. Kathy will be happy to have you join in. All are welcome—young and old—to take part in this uplifting experience. Together, we’ll use our voices and our gifts in harmony to glorify the God of Heaven. Come, and let’s praise His name together!
