During this past school year, Alex Boughman (’24), Nyjia Bell (‘25), Lexi Downs (‘26), Jayla Gerosa (‘24), JerryAnne Jean (‘26), Allyssa Jetter (‘24), Inna Vlasiuk (‘25), and Juliana Wolff (‘26) were chosen to be part of the Mount Pisgah Academy (MPA) 2023 summer recruiting team. MPA’s
marketing and recruitment director, Abby Ackerman, is taking the group across the Carolinas this summer to represent MPA by visiting Nosoca Pines Ranch’s teen camp, assisting with the ministerial workers’ meeting held at MPA, and helping with Camp Meeting here at Lake Junaluska.
Throughout the week, the recruiting team has been helping with the Junior meetings in the morning by singing songs and leading small groups, and the Earliteen meetings in the evening by participating in the discussion time. On Friday the students also helped with the Fun Run. “Something I really enjoy about being on the recruiting team is being able to spend time with the kids and learn more about them,” said Alex Boughman. “It’s also cool to be known and admired for being on the team, just as I knew and admired those on the team previously.”
The recruiting team has also been doing special giveaways each day in the various departments. Juniors and Earliteens received water bottles, T-shirts, beach balls, frisbees, and more! Additionally, MPA treated the Earliteen and Youth classes to cookies on Friday evening to celebrate the entrance of the Sabbath. We are so excited to be here at Camp Meeting, and we cannot wait to share God’s love with everyone through the gifts He has given us.
