Fellowship, Fun, and Service

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do what I say?” The lesson learned from this passage from Luke 6:46 on hypocrisy is just one of many the Youth class absorbed this week through Sebastian Braxton’s messages.

More than 100 youth were in attendance this week, and they have been challenged to reflect on “Questions Jesus Asks Us.” Topics such as ambition, hypocrisy and hope encourage the youth to make decisions regarding their own walk with Jesus. By focusing on stories such as Jeremiah 18, Braxton has been helping youth realize that God has a plan for us even when we feel like we are ruined. Braxton also shared a special message on seeing Christ even when Christians in general are not reflecting Him.

In addition to the morning and evening meetings, the youth participate in “Deep Look,” in which they study the Three Angels’ Message. On Wednesday the youth went on a rafting trip, but don’t think it is all fun and games in the youth department! You may have spotted some of them pulling weeds and picking up trash on Thursday as part of their outreach.

Fellowship, fun, service and spiritual growth; what a great Camp Meeting week in the Youth department!
