Participating in an anointing service can be a deeply transformative experience. As the oil is applied, believers often report a tangible sense of warmth and peace enveloping them. This encounter with divine grace can provide comfort, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose. It can also serve as a catalyst for personal growth and inspire individuals to live a life aligned with their highest values and principles.
Each year at the Carolina Conference Camp Meeting, our prayer ministries director, Beth Grissom, along with Conference administrators and several pastors, hosts two anointing services. This is a chance for our members who have things weighing on their hearts and minds or who are dealing with illness to experience the power of Holy Spirit. We have seen lives changed and members find healing after participating in this service here on the shores of Lake Junaluska.
