About the Role
1. Responsible for the total well-being of each camper assigned to your cabin; including health, safety, mental, physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
2. Nurture the spiritual development of each camper helping him/her to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to know Jesus as his/her best friend.
3. Welcome campers upon arrival, learning each name, assigning bunks, and introducing them to fellow campers, and explaining camp rules and objectives.
4. Supervise assigned campers in activities, 24 hours per day, six days per week, and know the location of each camper at all times.
5. Assist campers with duties, learning of skills, and selection of cabin activities, team building activities, and interpersonal relationships with fellow campers.
6. Report symptoms of ill health to camp nurse and division director.
7. Lead morning and evening cabin devotions.
8. Encourage campers to enthusiastically participate in as many camp activities and programs as possible.
9. Counsel with division director regarding discipline challenges.
10. Assist in various camp activities and programs as required.
Requirements
1. Be a responsible, mature person with leadership capabilities.
2. Understanding of camp objectives and philosophy of soul-winning.
3. A basic knowledge of child and adolescent development.
4. Assist campers in knowing which classes and activities they’re in and help them get there.
