About the Role
1. Fulfill assignments by the Horsemanship Directors. Assist in teaching of all horsemanship classes and trail rides.
2. Assist in implementing strict safety guidelines requiring all riders to wear long pants, shoes and socks.
3. Assist in maintaining trails, barn and corral areas, and equipment in good/safe working order.
4. Assist in keeping records of attainment for all students.
5. Keep barn, stables, and corral areas clean and neat.
6. Feed and water horses. Be responsible for health and safety of all horses.
7. Assist in planning and supervising overnight horse trips.
8. Be available, helpful and active at evening programs.
Requirements
1. Basic knowledge of equestrian skills.
2. Previous experience in riding and caring for horses.
3. Attendance and certification at CHA or EMA Instructor’s clinic.
4. Ability to patiently communicate and demonstrate skills.
